this is a spin-off from my personal blog, off-island state of mind. i've been blogging since 1998 but i've existed on the internet since 1994.

i've been infinitely inspired to speak my mind, share my thoughts...useless as they may be to the masses, i've held on to my indispensable need to be creative.

i was born and raised in Guam; uprooted to the San Francisco Bay Area to become an architect; moved home to find my chamorro husband; boomeranged back to the Bay to keep my career on track and prepare my kid for college....and now i am back at a to-be-determined state. possibly in linbo ever. we added 5 kids to our family within a span of 14 months.  we love our family of uproots.

and now i am constantly trying to follow those bread crumbs back to my home, Guam.

everything about home drives me.  i am not a native chamorro. i am filipino.  i am wholeheartedly 100% guamanian.
